We are looking for a new colleague to join our Technical Support Team in Abbott Cardiovascular in Stockholm.

Technical Support Specialist Stockholm

Primary objective of the position

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to our customers. After an extensive period of training you will become a full member of the service team. You will execute this by handling incoming requests from Abbott field persons, medical providers and patients. You operate in a service team, where teamwork is important.

Major accountabilities
  • Provides technical or clinical information to customers in response to inquiries/report from the field.
  • Performs product evaluations and testing based on reports from the field.
  • Provides clinical and technical support services.
  • Provides back-up support to Field Clinical Engineering/Sales Representatives in the areas of sales support (device implants and follow-ups), regional training seminars and troubleshooting.
  • Provides and conducts product training to in-house personnel.
  • Assists in the presentation of educational material for new product training and in-service seminars to physicians, nurses and sales representatives.

Educational background and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical / electrical / mechanical or medical technology is preferred or working experience in a similar position.
  • Track record as a technical specialist or a field engineer in our industry or equivalent.
  • Successful engagement with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
  • Good experience in use of analytical tools and software.
