We are looking for a Senior Demand Manager Nordics and Benelux to join our team in Norway  

The Senior Demand Manager for ADC Nordics and Benelux is expected to work independently to drive excellence in Demand Planning throughout the Abbott Diabetes Care within the Nordics and Benelux. The role is office based in Fornebu.

Abbott Diabetes Care wants to make our breakthrough technology FreeStyle Libre approachable, affordable and accessible for the millions of people with diabetes around the world.

Today FreeStyle Libre is used by more than 400,000 people across 41 countries with nearly 100,000 of these within Nordics & Benelux.

Primary objective of the position
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to Nordics and Benelux Finance Controller.
  • Play a key role managing the Nordics and Benelux Sales and Operations Planning process, ensuring high standards of forecast accuracy and alignment with the financial planning process. 
  • Responsible for Demand Planning and stock management. 
  • Undertake planning activities during IBP & 6Q LBE submission process.
  • Liaise and collaborate with in country Business Excellence Manager and other key in country stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, robust analytics for business decision making and support planning activities.

  • Co-ordinate the monthly consensus forecasting process, interacting closely with numerous departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance and ADC Area Demand Management.
  • Understanding of new product introductions and a thorough knowledge of current supply issues which might prevent the business from meeting its stated demand objectives. Submission of forecasts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain logility statistical forecast by item and by customer.
  • Identify and highlight exceptions to the forecasts on an ongoing basis, providing root cause explanations for key drivers of forecast variance.  Communicate/intervene in a speedy and constructive way to minimize business risks.
  • Ensure that all key participants in the Sales and Operations Planning process understand the implications of gaps in the demand/supply chain.
  • Facilitate and create presentations for the area Sales and Operation Planning reviews, IBP reviews, financial  6Q LBE; ensuring all relevant information is succinctly consolidated and ensuring the outputs are appropriately actioned.
  • KPI variance analysis and commentary updates to be provided to Area Demand Manager.
  • Utilize information provided by the broader supply chain to enable better decision-making.
  • Manage the stock to ensure market demand is fulfilled at all times.
  • Be competent in the use of the Logility, Symphony and FORE.
  • Assist the N&B Controller in carrying out planning and reporting activities throughout 6Q LBE/IBP process.

Educational background and Work Experience
  • Higher Professional Education degree or University degree in Business Administration/ Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience within an analytical role (preferably in international finance).
  • Prior experience of delivering complex data sets within given deadlines, while having strong informal influence skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to network across a number of different countries and departments both within the division and more broadly across Abbott.
  • Comfortable making recommendations to Senior Managers based on analysis of data and information.
  • Able to produce high quality reports with minimal errors.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Strong commitment and willing to take ownership of problems.
  • Dynamic, motivated team player with result oriented attitude.
  • Excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially Excel and preferably Powerpoint and IBM Cognos.
