Product Manager HCP Abbott Diabetes Care to join our team in Finland

The Product Manager HCP (HCP = health care professional) is expected to work independently to drive excellence in product management within Abbott Diabetes Care.

The responsibility is closely connected to Abbott Diabetes Cares mission: Making our breakthrough technology approachable and accessible for all people with diabetes. TRAVEL: Ad-hoc, 2-8 days per month but can vary with time.
Based in Helsinki office, Finland.

Primary objective of the position
As a Product Manager HCP, you will develop strong customer relationships with both external customer and internal partners. You will monitor and react to customer needs: developing material and programs which meet or exceed those needs. Besides this you will implement and utilize the product tactical and operational plan. New Product Introduction Process (NPI) to maximize sales, market share and ROI.

Major Responsibilities
  • Understanding the customer and the consumer - be familiar with the key customer and consumer needs in the diabetes management space.
  • Building up a close collaboration with KOL in both Sweden and Finland - be responsible together with additional functions to build a network of KOL in both countries as well as facilitating advisory boards.
  • Marketing program development - Drive in the development of the Regional HCP and Direct to Consumer Marketing Programs; ensuring buy-in from sales organizations across the region prior to roll-out. Programs and tactical plans must be focused on target patients and utilize the appropriate channel type to engage HCPs and consumers and maintain a compelling two-way dialogue to ensure business retention.
  • Media development: recommend to the organization regarding the use of outbound marketing programs including the identification of the appropriate media (online, social networking, call center involvement, database management, TV and print advertising as appropriate).
  • Database marketing: propose ways in which we can best utilize our in-house consumer database more pro-actively to engage with target consumers.
  • Value proposition: Assist in creating a proprietary consumer loyalty Program or developing a service that achieves the goal of increasing patient activation and consumer retention thru he uses of a clear pull strategy. Execution of value proposition in consumer loyalty program driven by and together with Nordic marketing.
  • Campaign development: manage the development of appropriate HCP and consumer directed marketing campaigns for use in Finland. Ensure buyin from local affiliates, and on-time delivery of approved materials.
  • Market research - manage specific market research projects. Ensure findings are expressed as clear recommendations and communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Strategic planning - assist in the development of the Nordic Marketing Plan, in cooperation with Nordic Marketing Manager and GM.
  • Metrics - undertake any campaign effectiveness monitoring, with market research as necessary, to understand the return on investment of key initiatives.
  • Budget - have full budgetary responsibility for designated projects as appropriate, ensuring they are maintained within spending limits.
  • External relations - be part of ADC's congress and meeting participation, including participation in FEND, EASD and ISPAD meetings, as well as local congresses and meetings.
  • Manager responsibility - Product Manager HCP, Finland, will have the Sales and Marketing assistant in Finland as direct report.
Educational background and Work Experience
  • University, Bachelor, and or Master Degree in Marketing, Science or Sales Management. Courses or training on digital marketing will be valued.
  • Previous experience or exposure to medtech/pharmaceutical industry is a need.
  • Previous experience with sales/key account management could be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge in digital marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical & communication skills.
  • Should possess good commercial awareness, team worker and capable of working efficient in an international environment.
  • Fluent in Finnish and mandatory English oral and written. Preferably even Swedish oral and written.
  • 5+ years professional experience in HCP marketing and/or sales.
  • Good computer skills (Office package)
  • Diabetes knowledge and Diabetes product knowledge.
  • Experience working with Medical devices /or medical products in relation to customer service /or client related.
  • Previous manager experience with direct reports
