HCP Brand Manager Abbott Diabetes Care, Nordics to join our team

The HCP (Health Care Professional) Brand Manager Nordics is expected to work independently to drive excellence in Brand Management within Abbott Diabetes Care. The focus will be on loyalty creating activities towards HCP’s.

The responsibility is closely connected to Abbott Diabetes Cares mission: Making our breakthrough technology approachable and accessible for all people with diabetes. TRAVEL: Ad-hoc, max 2-4 days pr. month. Preferred based at Copenhagen office, but could also be based in Oslo or Stockholm office.

Primary objective of the position
As a HCP Brand Manager Nordics, you are responsible for maximizing HCP brand activities. This involves:
  • Collect, compile and analyze Nordic HCP needs and insights.
  • Develop strong Nordic HCP marketing tactics (materials and programs) including brand development with the aim of increasing loyalty.
  • Lead to evaluate and implement global/Europe developed HCP activities.

Major Responsibilities
  • Understanding the HCP & plan to market – be familiar with key HCP needs, aligned with EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) as well as responsible for local Insight activities (e.g. Nordic HCP ad board). Develop Nordic HCP plan to market using the marketing mix as appropriate well as input from Customer Experience activities and execute.
  • Coordinate Nordic sales tour themes 2/year.
  • Business development – product specialist for Abbotts digital health solutions (full eco system).
  • Media development –Develop Nordic HCP advertisement with key claims in close cooperation with Nordic Marketing Manager. Responsible for Nordic HCP content development on Nordic/country web sites.
  • Database marketing & value proposition – responsible for Nordic educational program and content to be utilized for HCP CRM activities across Nordics.
  • Market research – responsible for compiling and analysing new science/data, in close cooperation with local market access and utilize in Nordic detailing activities.
  • Strategic planning – give input to localized global marketing strategy which is matching the positioning in the Nordics, from a HCP view and support assigned product strategies and execute.
  • Budget – have full budgetary responsibility for designated projects as appropriate, ensuring they are maintained within spending limits and A&P reporting is accurate.
  • Relations –liaising closely with all support functions (including Regulatory, Customer services, External agencies) as well as have close cooperation with local Product Managers, local Market Access Managers, Nordic Customer Experience Manager and Nordic Marketing & Customer Service Manager. Liaise close with local sales management to ensure activities are developed appropriately and executed effectively.

Educational background and Work Experience
  • University, Bachelor, and or Master Degree in Marketing, Science or Sales Management. Courses or training on digital marketing will be valued.
  • Previous experience or exposure to medical devises/healthcare industry is a need.
  • Previous experience with sales/key account management could be an advantage.
  • Strong in digital marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical & communication skills.
  • Should possess good commercial awareness, team worker and capable of working efficient in an international environment.
  • Preferred fluent in 1 Nordic language and mandatory English oral and written.
  • 5+ years professional experience in HCP marketing and/or sales.

  • Diabetes knowledge and Diabetes product knowledge.
  • Experience working with Medical devices /or medical products in relation to customer service /or client related.
